On Mon Mar 15 19:37:28 UTC 2021 in Slackware Current ChangeLog, Pat did an announcement regarding Firefox package maintenance.
The summary of the announcement is:
Quote:
(...) At this point, the latest Firefox has no additional dependencies beyond those of the ESR version (...)
Question:
What does that actually mean? (stripping off from some functionality?)
I see new Firefox packages still coming for Current but dont understand what has changed.

Side question:
Slackware 14.2 the latest Firefox package is dated on 24-Aug-2020 18:29 and the version is: mozilla-firefox-68.12.0esr-x86_64-1_slack14.2.txz
Does it mean Firefox package is unmaintained or considered as secure?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=SCmTMEk_ByQ:ZL2lT4ruCoE:F7zBnMy latest?i=SCmTMEk_ByQ:ZL2lT4ruCoE:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=SCmTMEk_ByQ:ZL2lT4ruCoE:gIN9vFwSCmTMEk_ByQ
