[SOLVED] Can I detect read access to a specific file in real time?

Title says it all.
There is this very ordinary file sitting there, just minding its own business.
Then some application reads it, and possibly does something with it or maybe not. Maybe just a quick read access.
The system acknowledges the attempt and rings an alarm immediately.
Is that possible?
