enabling a google calendar tab in Thunderbird

My principal mail agent is Thunderbird. Buster seems to have eliminated the Google calendar interface possibly for security issues, though my earlier Debian iterations had it with no problem. Since I use Slackware (principally) and Debian (to a lesser degree) I would like to enable the ability to use my Google calendar.
