There's little secret in Baltimore that the Ravens intend to pick up the fifth-year option in quarterback Lamar Jackson's rookie contract before Monday's deadline.

"Guarantee it," Harbaugh said on "The Rich Eisen Show," according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

"He's definitely going to be our quarterback," he added. "That's the plan, absolutely."

Jackson is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract and is scheduled to make $1.8 million in 2021. If his fifth-year option is exercised, he'll then get a substantial raise to $23 million in 2022.

He's made his mark on Baltimore since being selected with the 32nd pick in the 2018 draft, with the Ravens reaching the playoffs in each of the past three campaigns.

"Lamar is somebody that just kind of breaks the mold a little bit. He does it in a way that a lot of people didn't anticipate," Harbaugh said. "They didn't see this coming. He's very determined - and we're very determined - to prove those people wrong."

General manager Eric DeCosta said in March that he's committed to reaching a long-term deal with the 24-year-old passer.
