Day 2 NFL Mock Draft: Projecting picks for Rounds 2-3

With Thursday night's first-round selections in the books, theScore's Mike Alessandrini and Dan Wilkins project the picks on Day 2 of the NFL draft.

Round 233. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

Jacksonville's offense got an infusion of talent in the first round with Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne. A versatile cover linebacker who many saw as a likely first-rounder, Owusu-Koramoah provides a massive upgrade on the other side of the ball.

34. New York Jets - Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia

Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh prioritized offense on Day 1, so adding Campbell to a depleted secondary would be an excellent move early in Round 2.

35. Atlanta Falcons - Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

The Falcons turn their attention to the defense after landing generational tight end prospect Kyle Pitts at No. 4 overall. Moehrig is a versatile safety who easily could have gone off the board in the middle of the first round.

36. Miami Dolphins (from HOU) - Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State Brett Deering / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Jenkins could have been chosen on Thursday night. Adding the powerful right tackle to their blocking unit would allow the Dolphins to shift Robert Hunt inside to guard.

37. Philadelphia Eagles - Carlos Basham Jr., Edge, Wake Forest

An advanced pass-rusher with the versatility to move all over the defensive front, Basham feels like a perfect fit for Philly's front four.

38. Cincinnati Bengals - Creed Humphrey, C, Oklahoma

Have no fear, Bengals fans. Cincinnati will address its biggest weakness by selecting a long-term center to lead the offense and help keep Joe Burrow in one piece.

39. Carolina Panthers - Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame

Carolina circles back to bolster the offensive line after addressing the cornerback spot with Jaycee Horn in the first round. Eichenberg would be a Day 1 starter at left tackle.

40. Denver Broncos - Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri Ed Zurga / Getty Images Sport / Getty

The Broncos go defense again in Round 2 with a player who was rumored to go earlier. Bolton would provide an instant upgrade over Josey Jewell next to Alexander Johnson.

41. Detroit Lions - Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss

The Lions need to find weapons for Jared Goff if the offense is going to be productive in this new era, and Moore provides just that as a game-breaker from the slot.

42. New York Giants - Azeez Ojulari, Edge, Georgia

Ojulari dropped out of the first round due to injury concerns, but the Giants will end his slide. The talented pass-rusher adds athleticism and speed to an underwhelming group in New York.

43. San Francisco 49ers - Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama

After finding their quarterback of the future in the opening round, the 49ers immediately get to work in upgrading the offensive line tasked with protecting him. Dickerson would have gone much earlier if not for his injury history.

44. Dallas Cowboys - Asante Samuel Jr., CB, Florida State Don Juan Moore / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Dallas couldn't grab a top-tier cornerback prospect in Round 1, so they'll grab the next best option here. Samuel profiles as an excellent fit in Dan Quinn's defense opposite Trevon Diggs.

45. Jacksonville Jaguars (from MIN) - Richie Grant, S, UCF

Looking for another foundation piece on the defensive side, Jacksonville would be thrilled if Grant - one of the best safety prospects in this draft - is still available here.

46. New England Patriots - Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama

Barmore is a Patriots type of prospect - he's long, athletic, and versatile. The former Crimson Tide lineman was rumored to be a near-lock for the top 40, so he represents excellent value here.

47. Los Angeles Chargers - Ronnie Perkins, Edge, Oklahoma

Perkins steps in as the long-term replacement for Melvin Ingram opposite Joey Bosa, filling what is a major need in terms of pass-rush ability on the edge.

48. Las Vegas Raiders - Jamar Johnson, S, Indiana Jamie Sabau / Getty Images Sport / Getty

The Raiders will be looking for a versatile safety on Friday, and Johnson fits the bill. The Indiana product could fill multiple roles as a deep-lying playmaker or slot defender in Gus Bradley's defense.

49. Arizona Cardinals - Javonte Williams, RB, North Carolina

The Cardinals stay patient instead of reaching for a running back in the first round and still end up with Williams, who has a case as this year's most complete player at the position.

50. Miami Dolphins - Jabril Cox, LB, LSU

Cox is the perfect modern-day defender for Brian Flores. Miami's linebackers struggled mightily to cover a season ago, and the former Tiger thrives on third down.

51. Washington Football Team - Dillon Radunz, OT, North Dakota State

Radunz would be an important addition for the future of the Washington offensive line, and he could compete to start from Day 1 at left tackle.

52. Chicago Bears - Spencer Brown, OT, Northern Iowa Don Juan Moore / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Chicago gets Justin Fields some much-needed protection. The right tackle spot must be addressed prior to Week 1, and Brown is a high-upside prospect who offers elite athleticism and length.

53. Tennessee Titans - Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU

Sticking with Tennessee's trend of finding plus-value in players who may have fallen because of injury concerns, Marshall is a high-upside downfield playmaker who could be the perfect complement to star wideout A.J. Brown.

54. Indianapolis Colts - Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

After addressing its pass rush in Round 1, Indianapolis finds its long-term successor for Anthony Castonzo at left tackle. Cosmi is exactly the type of athlete the Colts covet in the trenches.

55. Pittsburgh Steelers - Brady Christensen, OT, BYU

Adding to the offensive line at least once on Day 2 will be a must for Pittsburgh. Christensen was a key part of the BYU unit that dominated in front of No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson.

56. Seattle Seahawks - Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue Michael Hickey / Getty Images Sport / Getty

Moore as a third receiver for Russell Wilson is an exciting thought. The dynamic wideout may lack size, but he's the perfect playmaker for Seattle's offense. We love the fit.

57. Los Angeles Rams - Wyatt Davis, G, Ohio State

Improving the offensive line should be a major priority for Matthew Stafford's first season in Los Angeles. Davis could be an impact starter at guard as a rookie.

58. Kansas City Chiefs (from BAL) - Joseph Ossai, Edge, Texas

Edge rusher isn't Kansas City's biggest weakness, but the team doesn't have much opposite Frank Clark after losing Tanoh Kpassagnon in free agency. Ossai is just what the doctor ordered and keeps with Andy Reid's love for linemen in the draft.

59. Cleveland Browns - Levi Onwuzurike, DT, Washington

Cleveland's defensive front has the makings of a scary unit with Jadeveon Clowney joining Myles Garrett on the edge, and Onwuzurike's pass-rush abilities provide a nice complement on the interior.

60. New Orleans Saints - Ifeatu Melifonwu, CB, Syracuse Joe Robbins / Getty Images Sport / Getty

The Saints were rumored to be targeting one of the elite cornerback prospects in a trade up on Thursday, but a deal never came to fruition. Long and athletic with plenty of upside, Melifonwu certainly isn't a bad fallback option.

61. Buffalo Bills - Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF

Coming away with an upgrade at corner after addressing the pass rush with Gregory Rousseau in the first round would be a strong start to Day 2 for Buffalo. Robinson has the inside-out versatility that will be valued in Sean McDermott's defense.

62. Green Bay Packers - Jalen Mayfield, OL, Michigan

Green Bay must add an offensive lineman on Day 2 if it wants to keep Aaron Rodgers happy. Mayfield would give the Packers some flexibility, with either him or Billy Turner moving inside to guard.

63. Kansas City Chiefs - Dyami Brown, WR, North Carolina

The Chiefs have seemingly been looking into receivers all offseason, and they finally add another dynamic pass-catcher here with their first pick of the draft. Brown is a weapon in the vertical game and could feast with the attention being on Kansas City's other star playmakers.

64. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Daviyon Nixon, DT, Iowa

More front-seven options for the reigning Super Bowl champions. Nixon profiles as an ideal long-term replacement for Ndamukong Suh next to stud nose tackle Vita Vea.
