Assistance with mail relay

Hello good day
I am running Slackware 13.37 have set up mail and tested it locally by sending and receiving between some local accounts to the mail server. When trying to send mail to another test server the error relaying denied IP name lookup failed
[Ip address].
Some Investigations suggests an entry into the etc/mail/access file any assistance to write to the file is sppprecidyrg
