Network interface "enp5s0" doesn't exist in native LFS

As my title states, my LFS system does not recognize my enp5s0 interface when I boot into it. I do not know how to put drivers and/or modules into my kernel config, and would appreciate if anyone could help with it (if that's even the issue, of course). However, when I chroot into my LFS, which I often do, it does recognize it and it works fine. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: My host is an Acer Aspire 5732Z if that's needed; ancient, I know.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=CGindC8vx2Q:tnMfYjFGnxQ:F7zBnMy latest?i=CGindC8vx2Q:tnMfYjFGnxQ:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=CGindC8vx2Q:tnMfYjFGnxQ:gIN9vFwCGindC8vx2Q
