Police ‘investigating the source’ of Stoney Creek anti-lockdown protest
by Spectator staff from on (#5HBNX)
No tickets were handed out at an anti-lockdown protest Saturday in Stoney Creek.
Between 150 to 200 people marched more than a kilometre down King Street West, from around New Mountain Road to Battlefield Drive, at 2 p.m. under the chorus of chants critical of public health restrictions.
Staff Sgt. Steve Caton said the protest lasted about 90 minutes and did not involve any altercations. He could not explain why no fines were issued, but said police are investigating the source of the gathering and its organizers."
