Digital fashions

Apparently this is now a thing. You upload a photograph of yourself and get back a digitally edited version wearing a fabulous outfit, which you can then post on Instagram for the envy of your friends. You have to pay for it, but it costs a lot less than buying the clothes for real. Also it costs the planet a lot less in CO2 emissions and water use; growing cotton requires a lot of water.
Perhaps in the future, silly young women will walk the streets in plain leggings and T-shirts but all wearing augmented reality glasses through which they will be able to view their own and everybody else's amazing digital clothes.
