Really, really slow Fedora
by ddalley from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5HH3P)
Background: I always use Linux on USB memory sticks. This install was installed on a reformatted USB stick that used to work fine with previous installs.
After a recent install of Fedora KDE, it ran really slowly. To run FireFox, for example, it takes a painful 50+ minutes to get an active cursor in the address bar. The OS runs so slowly that updating fails.
How do I debug/resolve this issue?
