Benedict Polizzi, both a son and a comedian, quite humorously wondered aloud why moms (and other adults) find it necessary to add an s" to the end of store names. He offers the singular named JC Penney, Kroger, Meijer, Barnes and Noble, Nordstrom, and other brands as perfect examples.
