slackpkg install-new gives message: No packages match the pattern for install
by amikoyan from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5HY7V)
I am trying to install security updates on Slackware 14.2 stable, am I going about this the correct way? I have run:
Code:slackpkg update
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg upgrade-all
slackpkg clean-systemWhen I run slackpkg install-new I get
Code:root@linuxbox:~# slackpkg install-new
Looking for NEW packages to install. Please wait... DONE
No packages match the pattern for install. Try:
/usr/sbin/slackpkg upgrade|reinstallThe other commands seem to work and libxml2-2.9.5-x86_64-1_slack14.2 was updated.
What does the slackpkg install-new message mean? Do I need to do what it says and how do I do that?
