Parental app for Linux?

So, I'm thinking about switching my kids' laptops to Linux. I like that it, for the most part, will be like a chromebook where all they can do is browse the web. Don't have to worry about them installing weird apps or whatever else kids do. But, how do I monitor which websites they're going to? We have a circle filter, but I'd rather it be an app on the computer that's reporting back. Then it will work even if they're at a friends house.
