Sunwing to offer flights from Hamilton this winter
Hamiltonians anticipating next winter's travel season will have local flight options for tropical destinations.
Sunwing announced this week it will be returning to John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
From early December 2021 until April 2022, the airline will be offering flights to beach resort cities Varadero, Cayo Coco, and Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba; Cancun in Mexico; Montego Bay in Jamaica; and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The flights from Hamilton will give local travellers even more frictionless vacation experiences," said Andrew Dawson, a Sunwing tour operations president, in a release.
A Sunwing spokesperson confirmed the airline cut its winter season short in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic.
A global travel advisory against all non-essential and cruise ship travel outside of Canada is currently in place due to the risks associated with COVID-19.
