Speakers detected by OpenSUSE, but not Microphone?
by JHall2017 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5J4K0)
Hey all, hope I'm in the right category. Basically, I've discovered that SUSE recognizes my internal speakers and sound card in my laptop (DELL Vostro 5590), but doesn't recognize that I have an internal microphone as well.
When I run Code:lspci | grep audio I get the following output:
Code:jake@1337:~> sudo lspci | grep audio
00:1f.3 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVSI'm not sure if this is a driver issue (would there be a separate driver for a mic and speakers?) or if there's something I'm missing. I installed pavucontrol and there aren't any input devices detected there either.
