Remove One Distro From Two-Distro Dual-Boot

I have Bodhi 5 and Bodhi 6 installed on a SSD. The computer is a 2009 Gateway desktop. It needs a very light distro due to poor graphics. Both these Bodhi distros work great on it. I put Bodhi 6 alongside Bodhi 5 because I wasn't sure if Bodhi 6 would work OK, but it does. Now, I would like to remove Bodhi 5. (alternatively, I could just minimize the Bodhi 5 partition, but this is not as elegant as removing Bodhi 5 entirely).

Since I installed Bodhi 6 alongside, it has taken over Grub. This leads me to believe that I can safely delete the Bodhi 5 partition. However, from past experience, as well as other threads I have read on this subject, I know that bad things can happen, like your computer failing to boot.

So, can I safely remove the Bodhi 5 partition? Or do I need to do it in a way that prevents problems? Or should I just minimize the Bodhi 5 partition, and not worry anymore? The SSD is 250 GB, but I have very little on it, and minimizing the other partition will leave me with plenty of space. Plus, I will have Bodhi 5, which is supported for awhile, in case something does go wrong with Bodhi 6. (Note: I do not have a shared Home folder; each distro and partition has its own).

Thanks,
