CIFS permission issue after recent update of Current
by lukameen from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5J9YP)
Howdy all.
I'm running current with the 14.19.75 kernel(huge) for quite a while now. I hadn't done an update for a while and yesterday, 5/25 I updated my installation. This is on a work computer I access windows shares on.
After updating I can't mount shares via cifs. During boot (my shares are mounted via fstab),I get an Error 13 mount.cifs permission denied. A manual mount attempt produces the same error. I've checked the permissions in fstab and my mount folder and everything looks good, nothing has changed there, but still can't mount those shares.
I can't find anything in dmesg that clues me in, so I'm stuck. Any suggestions?
