Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Mike Evans, and many of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' veteran offensive players have stayed away from OTAs, but they were at the team facility for a throwing session Friday, reports Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Coach Bruce Arians reportedly said the players could run drills at Tampa Bay's facility without coaches present. His chief concern was players possibly injuring themselves while working out away from the team, which would void the terms of their contract.

"Really pleased and excited to see the guys working together," Arians said.

The Buccaneers were among a large group of teams who announced earlier this spring that they wouldn't attend voluntary offseason workouts. Brady also hopped on an NFLPA conference call in May to implore players to remain united in their stance against the voluntary team sessions.

Brady and the roughly 10 players were reportedly seen practicing at the New York Yankees' training facility in Tampa on Monday before returning to the Buccaneers' complex Friday.

Wideout Antonio Brown, tight end Cameron Brate, and backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert were among the other players also present Friday.
