Man seriously hurt in Stoney Creek motorcycle crash on Regional Road 20
A 26-year-old man was seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash in Stoney Creek Tuesday night.
The man was riding on Regional Road 20, near Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, around 9 p.m. on June 1 when he lost control and crashed into a ditch, striking a drain pipe, Hamilton police said.
The man's friends were driving in a vehicle behind him and stopped to call for help.
The road, between Fifth Road East and South Townline Road, was closed until about 3 a.m. for investigation and because the severity of the man's injuries were not initially clear.
He is being treated in hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
