The Green Bay Packers are beginning to see the ramifications from their ongoing rift with star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Writing in his monthly column on the team website, Packers president Mark Murphy all but confirmed Rodgers' dissatisfaction with the organization but said he's focused on repairing the relationship.

"The situation we face with Aaron Rodgers has divided our fan base," Murphy said. "The emails and letters that I've received reflect this fact. As I wrote here last month, we remain committed to resolving things with Aaron and want him to be our quarterback in 2021 and beyond.

"We are working to resolve the situation and realize that the less both sides say publicly, the better."

The reigning NFL MVP skipped Green Bay's voluntary offseason program, though head coach Matt LaFleur remains hopeful he'll attend mandatory minicamp next week.

Rodgers has voiced his frustration with the Packers and is reportedly seeking an exit due to a poor relationship with the franchise's front office.

Second-year passer Jordan Love, who Green Bay selected in the first round last year, took first-team snaps in practice with Rodgers absent.

"Although it is hard to tell a lot in the offseason practices, both Matt LaFleur and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett have said they like what they've seen from Jordan this offseason," Murphy wrote. "Hackett said that the biggest difference this year is his confidence in the system, and that his decision-making, timing, and accuracy have all improved.

"It's obviously helped him to get reps with the first-team offense this offseason. The preseason games this year will be crucial in his development."
