slackware-current nouveau update incomplete

On a Slackware-current distribution running latest Slackware kernel with the nouveau.ko modular driver, only the first 1031x591(approx) main window chunk gets rendered on Firefox startup. Title bar, Firefox menu bar, decorations, etc are all OK. The remainder of the main window only renders after mouse activity(hover over link, change active window, etc) that refreshes the screen. Occurs frequently, but there is a several second timeout (X cache release?) required to repeat. This is better than the 5.4.40 kernel in which the same hardware hung in the GPU and required a hard reboot. See attachments for system & hardware info
