clean compile and work space for daily usage- easy sandbox solution

after trying to compile apps or WIP bash scripts and leaving uneeded directories around...
example: creating ramdisk scripts that run and forgetting about them later ...
Is there a temporary solution or fix, to build apps but then have that be your main work pc...
I keep thinking of a sandbox or cloud solution or paying someone to build apps.
I was wondering if KDE or some distro had virtual workspaces or sandboxes for apps. Kind of like Returnil for Windows or sandboxie? .. if I could undo on a per app basis- hopefully Timeshift? -- Thanks in advance
