Displays: Could not get screen information.

Fresh install of CentOS7.. plain-jane Gnome it came with.
Had to stay with 7 for compatibility reasons.
When going into Settings/Displays, I get:
Could not get screen information.
any idea why? I have two Dell U3014 daisy-chained. The video card is 980m.
