Centos 8 update to kernel after reboot VM error

Hello I am running centos 8 after installed the latest updates which installed a new kernel my vms will no longer start. I ran sudo yum upgrade which upgraded my server along with a ton of other packages, one which was my kernel... WHich was kernel-core-4.18.0-305.3.1.el8.x86_64 not sure if this is the cause but knowing a kernel upgrade and cause man issues I suspect it is... needless to say after the required reboot, attempting to start my VM I get the following error
Code:[root@vhost01-netengsrv01 ~]# virsh start netengsrv01-vm
error: Failed to start domain netengsrv01-vm
error: operation failed: guest CPU doesn't match specification: missing features: sscan any one offer some help on how to resolve this as I am not seeing much while googling this?
