Slackware-related IRC Channels
by rworkman from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5K1DJ)
It's probably not quite fair to say that *any* place is official as far as IRC channels go, but as of yesterday, that place is *definitely* *NOT* the entity known as freenode. Here's the email I sent to slackbuilds-users list yesterday:
Code:Consider the SBo and Slackware freenode IRC channels dead.
I was K-Lined earlier today, apparenly for simply existing:
00:33 [freenode] -!- You are banned from this server- Courtesy of Phanes/Bagira (2021/6/13 01.33)
00:33 [freenode] -!- ERROR Closing Link: mirrors.slackware.com (K-Lined)
00:33 [freenode] -!- Irssi: Connection lost to irc.freenode.net
There is personal history between me and him, but I was (and still am) content to let the past stay in the past, but... oh well.
We're on the libera.chat network now.
