Man killed after BMW strikes pole in Main Street West crash

A 72-year-old Hamilton man has died after a single-vehicle crash in west Hamilton on Sunday night.
Emergency crews were called to the crash just before 10:30 p.m. on June 13 at Main Street West and Whitney Avenue.
In a press release on Monday, police say a black 2019 BMW sedan was on Main Street West when it struck a pole at Whitney Avenue.
The victim was the driver and the only person in the car. No one else was hurt.
The road was closed for several hours for investigation by the collision reconstruction unit.
Police have not ruled out any contributing factors.
