Hamilton man, 24, charged with attempted murder in connection to east end shooting

A Hamilton man has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a late-night shooting in the east end in March.

Police said they arrested the 24-year-old man Saturday - three months after he allegedly shot a woman in the area of Parkdale Street North and Barton Street East at around 11 p.m. March 24.

The woman, 25, was found suffering from gun shot wounds and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Cody Curran, of no fixed address, faces 12 charges including attempted murder, theft, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless use, transport and storage of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a banned substance for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime under $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
