Former New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork's son was arrested last month and charged with stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of his father's jewelry, including two Super Bowl rings, according to a police complaint obtained by John Wayne Ferguson of The Galveston County Daily News.

D'Aundre Holmes-Wilfork is reportedly charged with theft of property greater than $300,000. The 23-year-old allegedly sold the items after stealing them. He was released on a $300,000 bond.

The elder Wilfork reported on May 10 he was missing several items of jewelry, including the two Super Bowl rings, as well as two AFC championship rings and a college football championship ring. He first noticed the items were missing in May 2020 but didn't immediately report them as stolen because he thought they could be at his second home in Florida.

The former player was notified online earlier this year that a person claimed to have acquired the rings. Authorities say the items were turned in to the Friendswood Police Department after they were reported missing.

Vince entered the NFL as a first-round pick in 2004 following a solid career at Miami. He earned five Pro Bowl nods and won two Super Bowl titles with the Patriots before joining the Houston Texans in 2015 for his final two campaigns.

He helped the Hurricanes win the BCS national championship in 2001.
