Changing keyboard keys combinations
by TomPich from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5K8ST)
Hello,
I've installed Linux a few days ago and got stuck with a keyboard configuration problem.
I've made some change to the basic keyboard layout (french azerty) to fit my own needs.
Everything works perfectly fine, except that when I enter the combination "dead acute" + "c" on my keyboard, I gets "c". And I want "".
"dead_acute" + any vowels works perfectly fine though.
I've made some changes in the "usr/share/X11/locale/iso8859-1" Compose file, and in the usr/share/X11/locale/iso8859-15 Compose file without any success.
Writing a ~/.XCompose file doesn't seem to be taken in account.
Can any one help me with this problem.
Thanks and cheers.
EDIT : forgot to mention that I'm on Linux Mint 20 with Cinnamon desktop and my "locale" is fr_FR.utf8
