Approximately 125 people gathered at a rally in Gore Park Sunday morning where they covered the statue of Sir John A. Macdonald in black cloth and tied it with red ropes.

The group then marched to Hamilton city hall carrying 215 cardboard cut-outs representing the 215 children found at the Kamloops, B.C. residential school.

The cut-outs where left in the gardens on the City Hall forecourt as a reminder to city officials to honour their commitments to Indigenous people.
