Shutdown computer and after boot Resume job?
by Johannes33 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5KCMJ)
Hi,
I want to run a scanning job on my hdd. It is a big hdd so the job takes about 20 hours to complete.
I want to shut down the computer while I'm sleeping and wonder if there is a way to shut down the computer and then resume the job again after boot in the morning?
The program is a cli command and results in a graphical presentation inside the terminal. So I it is not a gui program.
Is this possible?
