[SOLVED] debug system crash?
by heidenau from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5KGWX)
So whenever I play Overwatch my computer would sometimes spontaneously shut down. This happens in Windows, and now in Linux too.
In Windows what happens exactly is that the screen goes dark and after a second or two the power goes off.
In Linux it's very similar, but I get a (blinking?) underscore, very similar to when I shut down the system in a normal fashion (distro is manjaro btw)
I've been trying to find out what this is for quite some time and I'm pretty sure that the SATA controller has gone haywire (tried different SSDs, cables, game installations ..)
Windows event log only shows a critical error.
Now with this happening in Linux too I thought maybe I'm able to get better info on what is happening.
is "journalctl -b -1 -r" helpful? I think this might be the output before the crash (top is latest): https://pastebin.com/iYDcKJSS
