Covid infection levels have risen steeply in Scotland, data has revealed, as experts warn the next few weeks will be crucial in monitoring the impact of the Delta variant.
According to the latest survey data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), based on swabs collected from randomly selected households, an estimated one in 220 people in Scotland are thought to have had Covid in the most recent week - an increase from about one in 600 people in the week ending 12 June.
