Issues Upgrading to Ubuntu 21.04
by Quee from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5KKEN)
I recently upgraded my Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop from Ubuntu 20.10 to 21.04. No problems.
But when I tried to do the same update on my desktop workstation, I get:
"Error during update
A problem occurred during the update. This is usually some sort of network problem, please check your network connection and retry.
W:Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disable by default., W:See apt-secure(8)manpage for repository creation and user configuration details., E:The repository 'http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu eoan-security Release' does not have a Release file."
I have tried the update via the Software Updater and via the terminal. The Software Updater tells me I can upgrade and begins, but it does not work. Both methods end with the same error. There is nothing wrong with my network connection.
I've searched this forum and the internet, but have not seen a solution.
Any ideas from the community on how to solve this? Thx!
