Pedestrian killed on QEW near North Shore Boulevard

A woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle on the Queen Elizabeth Way near North Shore Boulevard Sunday night.
Ontario Provincial Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the pedestrian on the side of the highway around 10 p.m. to come forward. As of early Monday morning, police had not identified the woman.
Emergency services were called to the QEW near the Burlington Skyway just after 10 p.m. for a pedestrian hit.
All Toronto-bound lanes of the highway were closed for hours for the investigation, with traffic being diverted at Eastport Drive. OPP said on Twitter that the QEW had fully reopened around 2:45 a.m.
