CUPS-PDF TCP/IP vs. Internet Port

So I have a weird issue where the only way my Windows 10 to Ubuntu printer works is if I choose the option "Select a shared printer by name"... and what happens is the process (loading bar) never finishes but it does add the printer.

The added printer works and it shows up as an "Internet port" as opposed to the "TCP/IP" port. If I add it by TCP/IP it doesn't work/print fails.

I'm not sure what this means.

The reason it's a problem is it seems bad to say "click this, wait for the progress bar to appear, then just cancel it, printer should be added...". Anyway I will be adding SSL so not sure if that's something that factors in at some point.

I don't know if my CUPS-PDF server should return some status or something for that loading bar to finish... it's also interesting, the TCP/IP type is added under PORTS in the registry but the "...printer by name" method that works shows up under PRINTERS.

What is odd is the folder name is not pretty eg. it looks like:

Quote:
Specifically the commas in the front.

Any thoughts what I might be doing wrong?

See attached image for context. I'm fine with the Internet port, I just don't know how to manually add that (know it's more of a Windows 10 question). But I've tried all the options and usually what happens is I keep getting TCP/IP.
