"cd Deskstop" showing no such file or directory.

while using the terminal as an admin, I tried to access my desktop directories using the "cd Desktop" command. Instead, it returned: -bash: cd: desktop: No such file or directory
please help.
I have also tried using ~/cd Desktop but still will not work.
