/dev/shm in Live Edition, help needed
by igadoter from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5KV56)
well I am just reaching limits in my Live Slackware system as I build and install new packages (in live system not on hard drive). I found on internet that /dev/shm device allows to use part of swap of additional RAM. So I am thinking now to create swap on SD card (mmcblk) size say 8 GB and use it as RAM through /dev/shm. But I am not sure how to do that. Sequence of command, mount options etc. And I am thinking maybe it will be good to add such solution by default to Live Edition. By default it can be used - part of swap can be add in swap presence. Not obligatory of course. I just plan to build qemu on my Live Slackware Edition and test some qemu guest's.
