Heavy rain, thunderstorms hit Hamilton on Thursday

Showers and thunderstorms are moving across Hamilton on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
A special weather statement issued for the city calls for thunderstorms throughout the day with heavy rainfall of 20 to 30 mm expected. Some areas could see more amounts with isolated downpours.
Thursday's high is expected to reach 20 degrees but with the humidex, it will feel like 25. Risk of continued showers and thunderstorms into tonight. Fog patches will creep in after midnight. Low 17.
Friday looks just as soggy - cloudy with 60 per cent chance of showers, and a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Fog patches dissipating in the morning. High of 25 but 31 with the humidex. Friday evening, cloudy periods with 30 per cent chance of showers. Low 15.
