Cent OS 7 won't boot into graphical environment from command line
by nikhilbirari from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5M2TP)
Hi All,
I am new to the world of Linux. I have recently started learning. I am using Virtual Box and have installed Cent OS 7. Started with command line and stuck with not booting into GUI.
I run below commands:
#yum update
#yum install -y redhat-lsb-core net-tools epel-release kernel-headers kernel-devel
#yum groupinstall -y "Development Tools"
#yum groupinstall -y "X Window System" "MATE Desktop"
# systemctl set-default graphical.target
# systemctl isolate graphical.target
There are no errors and the system simply boots into command line as before. Please help me on this. Do let me know if any additional information is required from my end.
