Hamilton police investigating Flamborough crash
Hamilton police's collision reconstruction unit is investigating a Saturday night crash in Flamborough.
Police say the collision occurred in the area of Regional Road 97 and Lennon Road near Valens Lake Conservation Area.
In an email to The Spectator, Hamilton Fire assistant deputy chief Shawn De Jager said crews responded to the single-vehicle accident just after 10:20 p.m. on Saturday.
One occupant was trapped and there was a small fire," he said.
De Jager said crews removed the patient - the sole occupant - from the vehicle and quickly extinguished" the fire.
The patient was left in the care of paramedics, and the scene left with Hamilton police, he said.
Police would not give any further information about the incident, however there were reports that a victim of the crash was without vital signs.
Police said the collision reconstruction unit has taken over the investigation.
The unit primarily investigates fatal or near fatal collisions.
