Mint 20.2 upgrade - I can make nemo coredump rather easily
by JeremyBoden from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5M5NA)
I did the upgrade from 20.1 to 20.2 Mint on a underpowered netbook (dual core, 4GB).
Everything works well - as far as I can tell.
However, if I choose from the nemo menu Edit -> Preferences
Then it coredumps with a segment violation and makes nemo-desktop do the same.
(Cinnamon seems to realise this and restarts nemo-desktop which redraws my lost icons).
Since this feature of nemo 5.0 has been tested so many times, its obviously something connected with my machine.
Indeed, I carried out a test upgrade in a VM without any problems (on a different machine).
