[SOLVED] ls -l shows question marks for directory /var/run/user/1000/gvfs
by amikoyan from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5MAH4)
ls -l shows question marks for directory /var/run/user/1000/gvfs. I am running Slackware -current, which I updated using slackpkg this evening. I cannot view the contents of the directory.
Some background:
I installed -current using Alien Bob's Slackware Live USB about a week ago.
I found this directory by chance, just poking around. It did not cause me a problem.
My questions are: a) Why are the question marks there and are they going to cause me a problem? b) would a chown command get rid of them and allow me access to the directory?
Code:root@darkstar:/var/run/user/1000# pwd
/var/run/user/1000
root@darkstar:/var/run/user/1000# ls -l
/bin/ls: cannot access 'gvfs': Permission denied
