Beginning to think there is no solution to creating desktop short cut for web sites.

Just installed Linux mint Cinnamon 20.2 dual boot with Win10. Win10 so, so easy and I always have a screen full of shortcuts. With Linux I just can't get it figured out, I just don't understand how to work New Launcher either. If there really isn't an answer for short cuts can web sites be saved to Bookmarks or History, presently not on my Firefox/Duckduckgo home page. Any knowledge of the My Pocket app?
