an article title is shown bold but has nothing new

i am encountering an annoying issue. when i click on "My LQ" >> "My Threads" and get a list of threads i have started, which normally makes bold the threads that have something new, i am getting one thread show bold that has no replies at all. this is making it hard to check because i must remember to look at the reply count number. what is happening on this? a board software bug?

that list is not showing 2 new threads (this one and another) that i just posted. is it supposed to leave them off the list until the first reply? if so, then why is it even showing that one it is making be bold?

here is a screen capture showing how it displays to me. this image is 1920x1080 HD/2K, 551336 bytes of PNG. see the "replies" column for the 2nd thread listed. see that it is being shown bold.
