[SOLVED] How to use a partition for a steam library
by Destinyblade from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5MGQY)
I remember this issue plagued me when I used mint. How do I use a separate partition(it's an HDD) as a steam library?
I opened Gnome Disks made the ext4 partition from my hard drive, clicked on settings, clicked on 'edit mount options'. 'Mount at system startup' was selected by default. So I restarted my system, gave it a few minutes, then opened steam and it doesn't work. Steam does not see any other partition at all.
Some extra information I have here -
Fedora is installed on the SSD
The Hard Drive I want to use is an HDD where I have partitioned around 600 GB in ext4 format
mount point for HDD - /mnt/83e58ee1-30ea-4093-91cc-005980994c71
I do not have 'require additional authorization to mount'
If I go into files, the drive shows up as mounted
Please help, that HDD will be my major storage for Fedora
