I just want ask about suggestions how to partition hard drive. Hard drive 500GB. I plan to put on it:
Quote:
1) FreeBSD in future as hypervisor for Linux (if possible), but also to learn
2) Slackware - experimental in future with root / on overlay
3) file exchange partition - ntfs
I would like to follow our BDFL recommendation to use separate partition for /boot. The limit of four primary partitions is little pain. So primary partitions would be
Quote:
1) /boot
2) freebsd
3) linux
4) ntfs
and plain clearly there is no swap partition. So let these be primary
Quote:
1) /boot
2) freebsd
3) ntfs
and linux as extended. But I don't feel particularly comfortable to put swap inside extended partition. What do you think?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=y4Ya7edfAUo:3GERPV2zjhw:F7zBnMy latest?i=y4Ya7edfAUo:3GERPV2zjhw:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=y4Ya7edfAUo:3GERPV2zjhw:gIN9vFwy4Ya7edfAUo
