Backup Firefox / Tor browser history?

Hello. While backing up bookmarks on Tor browser (and Firefox) is a piece of cake the same can't be said for history.
I tried this guide but no go. Well, it created the .tar but it was empty. A search found an addon called FEBA but no luck there either as it wouldn't install.
Surely there must be a way.
Any help much appreciated.
