Hamilton could be facing thunderstorms and hail Sunday.

Environment Canada issued a weather statement at 8:30 a.m., warning of possible isolated thunderstorms and pea to nickel size hail.

Similar weather statements were issued for Niagara Region and Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant counties.

The storms are forecast to arrive with an incoming cold front.

One-to-two centimetre hail and winds gusting up to 70 km/h are the main threats," the weather agency says.

Watch Environment Canada's weather warnings for the most up to date information.
