Bluetooth issue after pulseaudio-15.0 upgrade (July 28
by kgha from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5MWHC)
I have a bluetooth handsfree device that sends audio output directly to my hearing aids (plus that it has a microphone). Great for video meetings.
When connecting it with Blueman it starts as an A2DP audio sink but in I've simply switched mode (in pavucontrol) to HSP/HFP headset mode - those have been the two available alternatives.
After upgrading to pulseaudio-15.0 I now have three alternatives: audio sink, HSP (flagged as not available) and HFP headset. If I choose HFP, the microphone works OK but I get no audio output.
After downgrading to pulseaudio-14.2 both input and output works again in headset mode.
Haven't got a clue to what's behind the issue, but all suggestions are welcome.
